Start and end date:01/11/2023-31/10/2026

Duration:36 months

FutuENG Objectives:

The FuturENG project lies behind the assumption that HEIs play a vital role for forming the future engineering workforce and they should become the key actors of change in the twin transition by striving to provide high-impact and tailored to the labour market needs educational programs designed in collaboration with the industrial ecosystem.

Hence, the FuturENG project’s main objective is to develop an innovative multifaceted training for the HEI engineering students and educators designed in collaboration with the industrial ecosystem aimed at ensuring future generation of engineers possess the skills, knowledge and competencies to drive digital and green transition across industries and harness the potential of emerging technologies.

The specific objectives are:

  • Boosting HEI engineering students’ technical knowledge
  • Promoting interactive challenge-based learning with regards to boosting HE engineering students’ digital, green and transversal skills and competences & increasing engineering studies’ attractiveness.
  • Equipping HEI educators with the necessary knowledge, tools & resources to support smooth transition of young engineering graduates to the dynamic labour market of tomorrow.
  • Strengthening the knowledge-triangle (research-academia-business) cooperation with regards to ensuring up-to-date and relevant educational offerings for engineering profiles.

Main Deliverables:

Work package n°2 - FuturENG Learning Resources for HEI Students.

Create a cross-disciplinary training resources to equip HE engineering students with relevant knowledge and skills to act as drivers of twin transition and sustainable development

Work package n°3 - FuturENG Training Resources for HEI Educators

To boost the capacity HEI educators in technical disciplines with the necessary knowledge, skills & competences to effectively teach & evaluate complex technical concepts through challenges-based learning activities.
